Caribbean life

1986-1990

Mouksa lived half the year in the Virgin Islands from August 1986 to February 1990 with his first wife Linda who committed suicude a month after Hurricane Hugo destroyed the  Islands in September 1989. He and Linda had two homes, their private house on St. Thomas (overlooking Hull Bay) and a hippie commune they were building on the Island of St. John (overlooking Coral Bay). While Mouksa was a budding musician, Linda was into fine art and had already moved to the Virgin Islands in 1978, opening her arts & craft stores (named Stanton Studios) in various St. Thomas locations, including both the front and back entrances at Mount Top, Tillett Gardens, and next to the Cruz Bay Ferry Dock on neighboring  St. John.
